Completing the grid

To attempt to complete the full grid, click the button "Complete Full Grid".

If a there is a possible completion for the grid, you'll see the completed grid, with a table of the most restrictive words below.

Interpreting the results

The grid will display the completion that is found. Below the grid is a list of the most restrictive completions. Use the table to identify potential problem places in the puzzle and consider filling these areas first. In this example, only one possible word was found to complete 32D, and two to complete 38D.

Inserting into your working grid

If you would like to use the fill presented, click anywhere on the grid to insert the completion into your main grid.

No possible completion

If the grid isn't possible to complete, you won't receive a completed grid, but you will still see the most restrictive words. In this case, there were no potential completions for 32D. It is also possible that each individual word has potential completions, but they don't work with each other, so even a failed completion may show possiblities for all words.

No completion found

It's also possible that a completion may be possible, but none could be found in a reasonable amount of time. This is primarily due to the grid not being adequately filled prior to requesting a full grid completion. Try filling some additional words and sections and try again. When this occurs, you'll see a screen like this:
